Iriveri is a census town in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Iriveri had a population of 15,672. Males constitute 48% of the population and females 52%. Iriveri has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85%, and female literacy is 82%. In Iriveri, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is a small village on the east side of Kannur and the farming is the major occupation. One of the major attraction in Iriveri is the Iriveri Kavu. Iriveri Kavu is famous for Theyyam and it is surrounded by a small forest and the temple is inside the forest. The Theyyam starts in this small temple during February month. Other Temples in this village is Ambiliyad Sri Krishna Temple and Manikkiyil Bhagavati Temple.
