Labial-palatal approximant

The labial-palatal approximant is a type of consonantal sound, used in some spoken languages. It can be thought of as labialized IPA| [j] (IPA| [jʷ] ), or as the semivocalic counterpart of the close front rounded vowel IPA| [y] .
