East Hill Cliff Railway (called locally the "East Hill Lift") located in
Hastings ,East Sussex opened onAugust 10 ,1902 . It is the steepestfunicular railway in theUnited Kingdom and provides views over the Old Town and the stade, home to the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe. It provides access toHastings Country Park via the East Hill, which overlooks the Old Town andRock-a-Nore , an area to the east of Hastings.The East Hill Lift is paired by the
