Syed Ismail Hossain Siraji (
Bangla ইসমাঈল হোসেন সিরাজী ) (1880-1931) was aBangladeshi writer andpoet . He was born in Sirajganj in Pabna,East Bengal (now inBangladesh ). He added the suffix "Shiraji" in honour of his home region. He wanted a Muslim revolution and went toTurkey in 1912 with a medical team during theBalkan War . His family was not well off, and he supported himself by writing and making public speeches. He was also active in politics, and was affiliated withIndian National Congress , and theMuslim League .Works
