25 April 1964 ) is a Canadianfiction writer.Born in
Toronto ,Ontario , she attended theUniversity of Waterloo , first enrolling in a geography program then moving to English studies. In 1991, she moved toBritish Columbia . She teaches at theUniversity of British Columbia Okanagan campus at Kelowna. She formerly taught at theVictoria School of Writing .
