For the 2008 season, the Major League Baseball teams that sent players to the Scorpions are: the Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Pittsburgh Pirates, and San Francisco Giants.

Team history

In 1994, the team gained worldwide media attention, when Michael Jordan began his professional baseball career by joining the Scorpions. After one year, Jordan was sent to the Double-A Birmingham Barons in Birmingham, Alabama.

In 2005, the team played its games in Surprise, Arizona due to renovations of Scottsdale Stadium. The team returned to Scottsdale Stadium the following year.
