"Golliwog" ("Gulleplutt") was one of the first attempts by Agnetha Fältskog to enter the charts outside Sweden. The eight German-language music singles she released didn't enter the charts. But with "Golliwog" the intention was that not only Germany but all of Europe would get to know Agnetha.Fact|date=August 2007

In addition, "Golliwog" was recorded in English as the B side of the single called "Here For Your Love" ("Tio Mil Kvar Till Korpilombolo" [ [http://www.completealbumlyrics.com/lyric/86752/Agnetha+F%E4ltskog+-+Tio+Mil+Kvar+Till+Korpilombolo.html in Swedish, "Sixty more miles to Korpilombolo"] ] ), at the marketing suggestion of Agnetha's record company, CBS Cupol. The "Golliwog" single was not successful either in Sweden or in Europe, even though Agnetha was already known as a part of ABBA. In fact the German release stated "Agnetha von ABBA" to increase the sales, but this didn't help the single.Fact|date=August 2007
