Banahatti

Banahatti is a medium sized town located very close to the Krishna river in northern Karnataka, India.It forms twin town along with Rabakavi Rampur & Hosur. It is the hub of textile business for the surrounding districts.

It has over 2000 Power Looms, and weaving is the main means for most of the families. Recently the weaving business has grown to higher than ever in the history, sarees produced are sent to markets like Bangalore, Dharwad, Mangalooru, and also sent to Maharastra state.

It has a 2 Pre-University colleges one private and another government. Janata Sikshana Sangha has one of them which is named as S.R.A. Composite Pre-University College and also has primary school, SRA High School, and Degree College Tammanappa Chikkodi Arts & Commerce.

Banahatti has a spinning mill Banahatti Co-operative Spinning Mill Ltd., Banahatti, Estd: 1983-84 and Working on own funds. It runs all 12 months
