Hyūga Province inKyūshū , was an , USS|Randolph|CV-15|2, USS|Hancock|CV-19|2, USS|Bennington|CV-20|2, USS|Monterey|CVL-26|2 and USS|Bataan|CVL-29|2 atNasake-jima , south of Kure, from24 July 1945 through28 July 1945 and her crew ran the ship aground in shallow waters.
