"Letting Go" is a single by Paul McCartney & Wings. Released in 1975 from the album "Venus and Mars", it did not become a hit on the charts, and is one of Wings' lesser-known songs. Even though the single was criticised a lot by the public, it still remains one of Paul's favourites.

The song was released on October 4, 1975 in the United States, and on October 18 in the United Kingdom. The song peaked at a mediocre #41 in the United Kingdom, and a slightly better #39 in the United States.

"Letting Go" was edited for the single release, so the single mix was just slightly longer than three minutes, as opposed to the original 5 minute album mix.

Synopsis

The song was performed during the Wings over America tour in 1976, and can be viewed on the bootleg film, "Rockshow".
