Parlamentet

Parlamentet

"Parlamentet", a TV program on TV4 is a spontaneous parody of Swedish political debate.

The program is a Swedish version of "If I Ruled the World", a UK television show produced by Hat Trick Productions. It is a comedy panel game show, similar to "Have I Got News For You" but focused on parodying the behaviour of politicians. Rounds include answering questions without using the words 'Yes' or 'No', and finding reasons to disagree with policies proposed by the other team, no matter how sensible. The winning team is chosen each week by a vote of the studio audience.

"Parlamentet" was awarded a Kristallen for best comedy in 2005.

Comedians that have taken part in the program include Johan Glans, Helge Skoog, Andre Wicktröm, Pia Johansson, Robert Gustafsson, Sissela Kyle, Babben Larsson, Mikael Tornving, Henrik Hjelt, Björn Gustafsson and Johan Ulveson.
