K47DF is a low-power television station in Corpus Christi, Texas, broadcasting locally on channel 47 as an independent station. It is owned by KRIS Communications, a DBA of KVOA Communications, which is a subsidiary of Evening Post Publishing Company. Its operations are hubbed with Evening Post holding KRIS-TV. K47DF has two Class A repeaters of its own: K20EK in Kingsville and K30EG in Beeville. The station is simply branded as KDF over the air. KDF, along with sister stations KRIS and The CW South Texas, all have pages on the popular social website, "MySpace.com".

Until February 4, 2008, the station was affiliated with the Fox network. Even though the Fox logo was used in the station's logo and the station referred to itself as KDF FOX, it did not follow the station standardization mandate imposed by the network; otherwise, it would have been called FOX 47, Fox Corpus Christi, or even FOX 13 (after its cable slot on Time Warner Cable).

On January 16, 2008, it was announced that K47DF would lose its Fox affiliation in favor of a new, higher-powered station, KUQI, which began airing Fox programming February 4, 2008. At that time, K47DF became an independent station.
