- Flying Dragons (gang)
The Flying Dragons (zh-c|飞龙帮) are a well known Chinese street gang affiliated with the
Hip Sing Tong , and are active inNew York City 's Chinatown as well as having a presence in Hong Kong, Canada and Australia. The gang moved heavily intoheroin trafficking after theItalian-American Mafia lost the trade as a result of the Pizza Connection prosecutions in the mid-1980s. The Flying Dragons was believed to be started somewhere in the late 1890's to early 1900's.The boss of the gang, Johnny "Onionhead" Eng, was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment for running a heroin distribution ring in 1993.
