- Fencott and Murcott
Fencott & Murcott is a
civil parish ofOxfordshire , England.The parish comprises the two villages of
Fencott andMurcott : and is administratively in Cherwell district. It is found about 14km due East ofBlenheim Palace , (Latitude 51°50'N, Longitude 1°10'W). The parish is bounded on the North and West by theRiver Ray , and covers an area of approximately 1350 hectares, including most ofOtmoor . The current population is about 250 residents. There are no shops or post office in the parish, and the Nut Tree Inn Murcott is the only pub. TheM40 motorway runs through the northern portion of the parish.The parish is the home of the Otmoor RSPB nature reserve.
