Jeremy Inkel

Jeremy Inkel

Jeremy Inkel has been a Canadian electronic musician for the last seven years and is quickly gaining recognition in the influential Vancouver industrial music scene. His first musical project was called B1nary H0l0caust, but he is most famous for his friendship with Vancouver musician Chris Peterson, which led to him working on the Noise Unit album "Voyeur" along with industrial legend Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly. He co-wrote and did the arrangements for track the "Illicit Dreams" with Craig Huxtable and "Monolith" with Michael Balch. He recently worked on seven tracks on the latest Front Line Assembly album "Artificial Soldier", most notably working on keyboards and drum & bass elements. He also worked with Bill on the "Noise Unit – Don't Get Emotional" remix for Mindless Self Indulgence.

He is a member of the drum & bass/punk band Left Spine Down, whose debut album "Fighting for Voltage" was produced by Chris Peterson. Left Spine Down is descried as “a slick combo of harsh heavy drum and bass, mixed with rock/alternative, old school punk rock, and sonic noise to create something new and different.”

Jeremy has a relatively short career in comparison to his Front Line Assembly peers, and was not even born when Bill Leeb first worked with Skinny Puppy under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder. Yet because of his recent endeavors with such big names he has already made a name for himself and lived out many industrial traditions including participating in a tour-gone-awry (with FLA in June 2006) and having his name misspelled in an industrial CD. In the liner notes to Noise Unit's "Voyeur" he was listed as "Jermy Inkel," adding to the long list of misspellings on Bill Leeb releases as well as industrial music releases in general, where humorous typos and mispronunciations have spawned other recognizeable nicknames such as "Kenny King" for fellow Vancouver notable cEvin Key. Fans were quick to add "Germy" to the list of nicknames for Jeremy which also includes "Jinkles", "The Boy", and "Hot Topic."
