Billawar is a town and a notified area committee in Kathua district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, India.


Billawar is located at coord|32.62|N|75.62|E| [ [ Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Billawar] ] . It has an average elevation of 844 metres (2,772 feet).


As of 2001 India census, [GR|India] Billawar had a population of 4905. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Billawar has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 78% and female literacy of 58%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
