Barahiya is a city and a municipality in Lakhisarai district in the state of Bihar, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, [GR|India] Barahiya had a population of 39,745. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Barahiya has an average literacy rate of 59%, below than the national average of 59.9%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
