Working out of Toronto as a Recording Engineer, John Nazário has been working with some of the world's top acts. Such artists include: Paul Anka, Nelly Furtado, Jack Johnson, The Tea Party, Jimmy Webb and The Philosopher Kings to name a few. John has made a name for himself in the recording industry.
John spent most of his adolescence in a recording studio learning about the studio and working his way up the industry ladder. He decided to pursue it further once he graduated from high school. At the tender age of 19, and already running full album sessions on his own, he decided to go abroad and study music production. He attended university at LIPA (Paul McCartney's own Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) in England to expand his knowledge of the industry.
Shortly after moving to London, John started working for M2 Television with such clients as MTV, Discovery Channel, BBC, etc. However, he was missing the satisfaction and passion of recording albums, and at the age of 22 decided to move back to Toronto.
Bringing the knowledge of working with digital workstations in collaboration with full multitrack recording studios, John was able to quickly use his previous clients and friends to get back into the groove of things in Toronto. He was employed by Sony Music Canada at the age of 23 and recorded some of their top artists. John was finally settling down in Toronto.
A couple of years in a major record label gave him the knowledge and ability to work at the Orange Lounge Recording Studios doing work for the Orange Record Label, Universal Music, Blackcorners, Sony Music Canada, and more. He still found the time to travel to Nashville to record artists like Collin Raye, Jimmy Rankin and John Landry.
Recently, John has decided to pursue bigger and better things on his own by moving into the Iguana Recording Studios in Toronto and fly solo. John really enjoys the privacy of the one room world class recording studio. He believes it to relief a lot of the industry stress and traffic from the creative process.
