Ferdinand, Hereditary Prince of Leiningen ("Ferdinand Heinrich Emich Christian Karl", born August 8, 1982 in Frankfurt, Germany) is the eldest son of Andreas, 8th Prince of Leiningen and his wife Princess Alexandra of Hanover. Through both his father and mother, Ferdinand is a nephew of Victoria of the United Kingdom and Albert, Prince Consort. Through his mother, he is a descendant of both the Kings of Hanover and the Kings of Denmark. Ferdinand is also a descendant of the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II through his only daughter, Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia. Because he is a descendant of Victoria through his father's side, Ferdinand is approximately 115th in the line of succession to the British Throne.
