Aotea College is a co-ed state secondary school in Porirua, Wellington New Zealand.Aotea College was founded in 1978.

The current principal is Tim Davies-Colley who took hold of the position at the beginning of term one 2008. [cite web|url=http://www.aoteacollege.school.nz/pdfs/newsletter-07yr9.pdf|title=Te Karere|date=18 December 2007|publisher=Aotea College|format=PDF] He has already discussed new ideas amongst staff and pupils to introduce an 'outdoor classroom'. The School Newsletter "Te Karere" is published once a fortnight to keep families informed on school happenings.

Sport and Cultural Activities

Sport and Cultural activities are a major part of Aotea College, students are encouraged to take at least one Winter sport and Summer sport. Aotea College also competes in the New Zealand National Secondary Schools Barbershop competition - most recently, the girls' chorus won 2nd place in the competition in Christchurch, 2007.
