Fary began his career with
ASC Diaraf in nativeSenegal , then started his Portuguese adventure, signing with lowlyGrupo União Sport de Montemor , playing there for two seasons, before moving toSC Beira-Mar .From 1998-2003, Fary was an everpresent fixture in the top scorer's list in Portugal, hitting an average of one goal every 3 games in the "
Portuguese Liga ".In 2003 he signed for
Boavista FC , but his role gradually diminished, compared to his stay inAveiro . In 2006-07, Fary went scoreless in 23 matches, although he only played 3 as a starter.In July 2008, upon Boavista's relegation to the second level, Fary returned to his first top-flight club, Beira-Mar, also in that division.

Fary was part of the Senegalese
