The 2S5 "Giatsint-S" ( _ru. 2С5 «Гиацинт-С»; _en. hyacinth) is a Soviet/Russian 152 mm self-propelled gun. "2S5" is its GRAU designation. It is NBC protected.

Production history

Production of the 2S5 Giatsint-S started in 1976 followed by the towed version the 2A36 Gaitsint-B. It was introduced in 1981 and has also been known as the M1981 by the United States.

Operators

The 2S5 was used in the Soviet Army and other Warsaw Pact armies. It was also exported to Finland.
