Aw-Qutub

Aw-Qutub (or Reer Awqudub) is a Somali clan, part of the larger Sheekhaal group. Its members inhabit Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.

The Reer Awqutub further subdivides into the Reer Aw-Abdalleh, Reer Aw-Umar Seyaat, Reer Sheikh Samirre, Reer Aw-sadiiq, Reer Ahmed Aw-Qutub, Reer Umar Deen and Sadeeq Aw-Qutub. The Aw-Qutub people mainly live in and around Kismayo in southern Somalia,the Somali Region in Ethiopia, and northeastern Kenya. They also inhabit the savanna between Kismayo and the Somali borders with Kenya and Ethiopia, such as in and around Mandera, and Hoosingo.
