"Brutality and Bloodshed for All" is the final studio album by GG Allin. Released in 1993, all of the songs on this album were written while Allin was in Jackson State Prison. Backing band was the Murder Junkies.

Miscellanea

This album sounds different to other Allin material, with a more "professional" recording quality. Backing band The Murder Junkies [the second GG Allin backing band to bear the name] give a slicker sound to the music, something quite uncommon since Allin's stint with The Jabbers. William Gilmore Webber's guitar playing imparts a "heavier" sound to the music, making this album sound more like heavy metal than punk rock. Allin's vocal performance style had by this point evolved into a deep, animalistic roar which one critic likened to "a deranged Muppet": he had (frankly) long since lost any vestige of the tuneful voice of the past, and the combination of the vocal performance & the guitar sound made this release akin to a "death metal" release. The album is one of his least listenable. By this point, Allin had run out of ideas: the subject matter is forced, this is GG Allin-by-the-numbers, with all the "offensive" bases covered. At this point Allin had - in short - become a parody of himself. It is no accident that the inferior "Brutality & Bloodshed For All" is one of his most popular albums.

On the track, "Shoot, Knife, Strangle, Beat, and Crucify", back up vocals are partially sung by "Johnny Puke" (real name unknown), the tenant of the apartment where Allin would later die from a heroin overdose in 1993, shortly before this album was released.

While many people think that the band Anal Cunt named themselves after the third track on this album, they actually formed in 1988, five years before this album was released. GG originally wanted Anal Cunt to be his back-up band but due to traveling issues it never happened.
