CASMAS

CASMAS (Coalition Against Slavery in Mauritania And Sudan), is a human rights group concerned with the Arab slave trade that they say still exists today in the Islamic republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Sudan. The Executive Director of CASMAS is Samuel Cotton, the author of a factual account of slavery in Mauritania called Silent Terror: A Journey into Contemporary African Slavery.
