"Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala" was founded in 1902 by Vaidyaratnam P.S. Warrier. This is one among the best ayurvedic clinics in India and people from all over the world come here for treatment.

Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala is a charitable institution offering authentic Ayurvedic medicines and treatments to patients from all over India and abroad.The Arya Vaidya Sala also manages two Ayurvedic Hospital at Kottakkal in Kerala, one at Kochi, one at Delhi and the last at Kolkata, cultivates medicinal plants, manufactures medicines, conducts research programmes, publishes books and seminar reports on Ayurveda and related subjects, and runs a Kathakali Academy called P.S.V. Natyasangham. Arya Vaidya Sala also supports the Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier Ayurveda College at Kottakkal.

From a small beginning in 1902 as the "Arya Vaidya Sala",the vision of the founder,Vaidyaratnam P.S.Varier has made the Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre at Kottakkal a towering edifice of Ayurveda in the country as well as the whole world.The salubrious climate of Kottakkal at Malappuram district in Kerala,(South India) and the picturesque and ecologically rich landscape of its environs make it an ideal location for Ayurvedic treatment and convalescence.
