Stephen James Joyce (born 16th February 1932) is the grandson of
James Joyce and the controversialexecutor of Joyce's estate. Though the trustee of the Estate of James Joyce is Seán Sweeney, Stephen Joyce has taken an active role in all legal matters relating to Joyce's works. [Ohio State University English Department. At Harvard, he once roomed withPaul Matisse , grandson of French impressionist painterHenri Matisse , and withSadruddin Aga Khan , a lineal descendant of theIslamic prophet Muhammad .
