Abbas Alizadeh is an Iranologist and Persian archaeologist.
Alizadeh is currently Senior Research Associate, [http://oi.uchicago.edu/research/projects/far/ Iranian Prehistoric Project] at the
Oriental Institute ofThe University of Chicago . According to "Science" magazine, Alizadeh's hard work and determination have won him Iranian's authorities trust, so even after he moved to theUnited States , Iranian authorieties let him dig and survey inElam , the region north of Khuzistan near Iran's border with Iraq. He is also credited with a central role in saving theBastan Museum collection of potery, and introducingethnobotany to Iranian students.See also
