Jade Nova sole appearance was in "Doctor Strangefate" #1, which was later collected in the trade paperback "The Amalgam Age of Comics: The DC Comics Collection" (1996; ISBN 1563892952). Within the metafictional backstory provided in "Doctor Strangefate", Jade Nova debuted in "Tales of Strangefate" #203, and later in "Tales of Strangefate" #210-213, as part of the "Jade Inferno" storyline.

Jade Nova was rescued by
Doctor Strangefate fromMephisatanus sometime in the past, and now finds herself indebted to him. Doctor Strangefate, fearing that Access (Axel Asher) will break up the Amalgam Universe into its original two universes, sends Jade Nova, along with theSkulk and the White Witch, to capture him. Jade thinks Access is "...as threatening asSanta Claus ...", though she also thinks of him as "handsome". However, Access' teleporting abilities mean that Jade Nova andSkulk are unsuccessful in capturing him.Powers and abilities
Jade Nova has
Green Lantern symbols on her belt-buckle and her ring, suggesting that she has ties toIron Lantern . Her ring can project energy beams, and can turn her body into mystical green flames.
