Tanjung Rambutan

Tanjung Rambutan is a main town in Kinta district, Perak, Malaysia. Located not far from Kamunting(ISA detainee camp)(45 minutes drive) and Ipoh the state capital. [Mount Korbu] which is the second highest peak in Peninsula Malaysia can climbfrom Tanjung Rambutan or from Ulu Kinta in Perak. The climb from Tanjung Rambutan can be done in four days. The climb from Ulu Kinta is more difficult as it is much steeper. From the top, you will get a sweeping view of Kinta Valley on clear days but by noon, thick clouds normally envelope the mountain.
