Saijō, Hiroshima

Saijō, Hiroshima

nihongo|Saijō|西城町|Saijō-chō was a town located in Hiba District, Hiroshima, Japan. On March 31, 2005 Saijō, along with several nearby towns, merged into the city of Shōbara.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 4,741 and a density of 20.89 persons per km². The total area was 226.91 km².

Locals from Saijo and the surrounding towns often gather at Magokoro Times (真心タイムズ), near Shoji supermarket, for beer, shochu and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.
