SEALNet

SEALNet (Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Bay Area dedicated to youth empowerment in Southeast Asia. It was originally a program operated by students at Stanford University. SEALNet was founded in 2004 at Stanford with the help of SALI, Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative, a non-profit organization that was founded to encourage development and youth leadership in Southeast Asia. In late 2006, SEALNet and SALI merged under the common name SEALNet.

SEALNet's first project was Project Vietnam 2005. PV05 brought computers to the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union Language Training Center and trained teachers and students how to use the English learning software as well as working with the students to empower them to start their own leadership projects. In 2006, SEALNet operated service leadership projects in Thailand (Saraburi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), and returned to Vietnam (Da Nang).

In 2007, SEALNet is operating projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
