Sudesh Mahto

Sudesh Mahto

. He represents Silli, in the district of Ranchi, in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.

In addition to the portfolio of Home Minister, he was also responsible for prisons, road construction, building construction, and art, culture, youth affairs and sports.

To mark his wedding in June 2006, he arranged for the construction of a 35 km road to his wife's home village.

Sudesh Mahto is, as of 2007, no longer the home minister of Jharkhand. A new government under Madhu Koda took over on September 11, 2006.
