Gates Avenue is a skip-stop station on the BMT Jamaica Line of the New York City Subway, located in Brooklyn. It is served by the NYCS|Z train during rush hours and the NYCS|J train at all other times. The emergency exit at the north end of the station leads to Howard Avenue while the south exit leads to Quincy Street and Broadway and has a crossunder. The 2002 artwork here is called "Dream Train" by Chris Robinson and has a subway (NYCS|J train) theme.
South of this station, the remains of the BMT Lexington Avenue Line can be seen.
