Livonia Avenue is a station on the BMT Canarsie Line of the New York City Subway. The IRT New Lots Line crosses above the Canarsie Line here, and the Junius Street station is nearby. The two stations are connected by a walkway, but the transfer requires the payment of a separate fare.
Just south of this station is a spur leading to a small yard, which is known as the Linden Shops. Another spur branches off of the IRT line as well. These spurs have no third rails, and are used by New York City Transit locomotives going to and from the facility.
