Stan! (born 16 October, 1964) is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer.

Born Steven Brown, he was born in Brooklyn, grew up on Long Island and attended the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is sometimes credited as Stan Brown.

Currently he serves as the Creative Content Manager for the Upper Deck Company and Creative Vice President for The Game Mechanics, Inc., a company he co-founded with JD Wiker, Marc Schmalz, and Rich Redman. With a career spanning 20+ years, Stan! has also worked for West End Games, TSR, and Wizards of the Coast.

Stan! has worked on a variety of role-playing titles, including Paranoia, Dragonlance, Marvel Super Heroes, Ravenloft, and Forgotten Realms, as well as being a principal designer for d20 Modern. He is also the author of two novels published by Wizards of the Coast.
