William Beaumont Army Medical Center

William Beaumont Army Medical Center

William Beaumont Army Medical Center is a Department of Defense medical facility located in El Paso, Texas. It provides comprehensive care to all beneficiaries including active duty military, their family members, and retirees. The hospital is located in the Central/Northeastern part of El Paso, and at present is the closest hospital to the Northeast. Prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks the hospital could be easily accessed by civilians through three separate street gates; however one of those has since been permanently closed, and the other two entrances have been modified to include vehicular barriers and full time guards.

The hospital itself is very large, and contains a rather sizable Veterans Affairs Office for ex-soldiers who are in need of medical treatment. Prior to the deployment of the Army Helicopters it was not uncommon to see Military air ambulances operating in the vicinity of the complex.
