2002 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

2002 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

The ninth edition of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50m) event, was held in 2002 in Yokohama International Swimming Pool in Yokohama, Japan, from August 24 to 29. One world record was the final tally after six days of competition at this year’s event, compared to the ten world records in 1999. Once held every second year, the Pan Pacs have been scaled back to once every four years, since the international calendar is ever more crowded.
