John Kowalski (born December 22, 1951 in Milkow, Poland) is a former coach of the professional
United States soccer clubsTampa Bay Mutiny (Major League Soccer ),Pittsburgh Riverhounds (NASL) andPittsburgh Spirit (Major Soccer League originally called the Major Indoor Soccer League). He currently coaches theRobert Morris University women's soccer team. He is married and has one daughter. He is of Polish origin. He currently coaches the U-13 Girls Stars United team, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsyvlania.Kowalski also briefly managed the United States national team in 1991, compiling a 1-1-1 record. Perhaps most notably, Kowalski was the head coach of the 1989 and 1992 U.S. five-a-side (Futsal ) teams which won a bronze medal in theNetherlands in 1989References
