All but one of the cllrs are Liberal Democrats. The Parish Council usually meets on the 3rd Monday of every month.

At its November 2006 meeting, Gt Boughton Parish Council has agreed to make a contribution of £11,000 towards the cost of a Police Community Support Officer.
