Yamamoto (山本町; -cho) was a town located in the former Mitoyo District, Kagawa,
Japan . On January 1, 2006 the town merged with six other towns from the district forming the city of Mitoyo and no longer exists as an independent municipality.As of 2003, the town had an estimated
population of 7,584 and a density of 227.68 persons per km² (592.3 persons per mi²). The total area was 33.31 km² (12.8 mi²).Geography
