Jack Bagley

Jack Bagley, née Wando Shane Bagley (born 26 September 1958) is a television and radio news reporter in LaGrange, Georgia, and the author of two science fiction novels.

Born in Waukegan, Illinois, Bagley moved to LaGrange in 1970. He served briefly in the United States Air Force after high school, and became a radio broadcaster in 1976 at station WLAG-AM. He moved to WTRP-AM in 1977 and remained there until 2002. During that time, he also became a middle-school history teacher. In 2002, Bagley joined the staff of WCAG-TV, Channel 33, in LaGrange as evening news anchorman. From 1981 to 1996, he was an officer in the Civil Air Patrol, leaving the organization with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Bagley has also performed as a stand-up comedian in the west Georgia area and has 30 years of experience as an actor in local theatre productions.

In 2000, he wrote "Apprentice Cruise", followed in 2001 by "The Things We Leave Behind". Both novels, originally published by Fine Line Publishing and now available from www.lulu.com, relate the exploits of Ryan Lee, and are two of a planned series of novels which detail Lee's career in a future Interstellar Fleet.
