Beach Boys fanzine Beach Boys Stomp (founded June 1977), he eventually contributed to almost all the major fan publications to date. In 1997, collaborating with noted UK rock journalistJohn Tobler , he authored "The Complete Guide To The Music Of The Beach Boys", a book updated in 2004 as "Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys: The Complete Guide To Their Music". He also provided the liner notes for the 2000 reissue of TheBeach Boys albumsKeepin' the Summer Alive andThe Beach Boys , these liners being widely regarded as among the best of the seriesfact|date=July 2008. He has also contributed towards the research of otherBeach Boys archive releases, most notably the 1997Pet Sounds Sessions 4CD box set, and maintains an extensiveBeach Boys research website. In collaboration with Tobler, since 1981 he has also written or researched books on such diverse artists asThe Doors ,The Carpenters ,The Clash ,ABBA andAdam & the Ants .External links
