Australian rules football er playing for the AFL'sEssendon Football Club .After not being drafted in 2002, Andrew was advised to remain with his team, the Northern Knights. He then began playing for North Heidelberg in
Melbourne 's Diamond Valley league before heading over toWestern Australia to play for East Perth in the WAFL, where he believed he had a greater chance of making it into AFL. He was an instant star in the WAFL, and was thrown a lifeline byKevin Sheedy .Lovett was picked up by the Bombers in 2003 in the Rookie Draft. He remained a rookie, playing for the
Bendigo Bombers , until he made his AFL debut against theHawthorn Hawks .He is the cousin of
Nathan Lovett-Murray who also plays for theEssendon Football Club .Andrew was a member of the
Australia n team that won theCormac McAnallen Cup during the2005 International Rules Series , the team was handpicked by his coach at Essendon F.C. Kevin Sheedy. Lovett also won the Anzac Day Medal, for best on ground in the annual match between Collingwood and Essendon.External links
