Nihongo|Tsurumi Station|鶴見駅|Tsurumi-eki is a train station of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) located in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, Japan.

The Keihin-Tōhoku Line line consists of an island platform serving two tracks, and the Tsurumi Line consists of two side terminus platforms serving two tracks.

Platforms

Tsurumi is officially the southern terminus of the Musashino Line but does not ordinarily have passenger service on that line.

History

*November 15 1872: Opens as a station of Tōkaidō Line.
*April 1 1898: Freight services started.
*December 23 1934: Tsurumi Rinkō Railway (present Tsurumi Line) opens at the present location.
*July 1 1943: Tsurumi Rinkō Railway is nationalized, becoming Tsurumi Line.
*November 9 1963: The Tsurumi Accident occurred (one of the 5 big JNR accidents since the war).
*November 1 1974: Freight services are discontinued.
*November 1 1979: The line opens from this station to Totsuka Station via Yokohama-Hazawa Station.
*April 1 1987: The station becomes a station of JR East following privatization of JNR.
