Walter Nicholas ("Nick") Henry Tongue (born 8 April 1973 in Auckland) is a former freestyle swimmer from New Zealand, who competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States for his native country.

His biggest success came in 1995, at the second edition of the FINA World SC Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where Tongue won the gold medal with the Men's 4x100 Medley Relay Team. This was a New Zealand record time and was the 4th fastest time ever recorded swimming achievements.

Tongue attended two consecutive Commonwealth Games, starting in 1994. At this first appearance in Victoria, Canada he won the silver medal with the Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay Team.
