Huerteales is the botanical name for an order of flowering plants. Until recently it had been abandoned by taxonomist, and it was not recognised in the APG II system of 2003. Recently, however, it has been tentatively reinstated on the basis of new phylogenetic evidence, to encompass the families Dipentodontaceae, Gerrardinaceae, Tapisciaceae, and the genus "Perrottetia" unplaced at family rank.
