Heinrich Grünfeld (
April 21 ,1855 ,Prague -August 26 ,1931 ,Berlin ) was aBohemian -Austrian violoncellist; a brother ofAlfred Grünfeld .He educated at the
Prague Conservatory , he went to Berlin in 1876, and for eight years taught at theNeue Akademie der Tonkunst in that city. In conjunction withXaver Scharwenka andGustav Holländer (later withÉmile Sauret ,Max Pauer , andFlorian Zajic ), he arranged trio soirées which became very popular. In 1866 Grünfeld was appointed court violoncellist to King William of Prussia.Bibliography
