Alfred Grünfeld (born at
Prague July 4 ,1852 -January 4 1924 inVienna ) was anAustria npianist andcomposer .He studied under Höger, under
Josef Krejčí at thePrague Conservatory , and underTheodor Kullak at theNeue Akademie der Tonkunst ,Berlin . In 1873 he settled atVienna , where he received the title of "Kammervirtuose". He made tours through Europe and the United States.During a visit to Germany Grünfeld was appointed court pianist to Emperor
Wilhelm I of Germany . From 1897 he was a professor at the Vienna Conservatory.His brother was musician
Heinrich Grünfeld .Works
