Oceania career

Lampley signed with the Melbourne Tigers during of the Australia's National Basketball League in December 2007. [ [http://www.nbl.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=73468 Muursepp cut by Tigers] ] After arriving in the country only 2 days prior, Lampley made his debut in the NBL's biggest attendance of the season, scoring 10 points (on 3/5 shooting) and pulling down 4 rebounds in the Melbourne Tigers victory over the South Dragons at Vodafone Arena on December 15. [ [http://www.nbl.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=73494 Dragons v Tigers 12/15/2007 - boxscores] ] His signing filled the void left by recently de-listed player Martin Müürsepp, who suffered from poor form partly due to an ongoing battle with an ankle injury. Lampley's signing gives the Tigers the league allocated two imports, meaning no more international players can be signed to the current roster.

In the short time since joining the Tigers, Lampley has already proved a more valuable commodity than the highly touted Muursepp. Both men have NBA experience, [ [http://www.nba.com/playerfile/sean_lampley/index.html Sean Lampley NBA.com Playerfile] ] [ [http://www.nba.com/playerfile/martin_muursepp.html Martin Muursepp NBA.com Playerfile] ] although Lampley's has been more recent.

In 5 games through 30 December, Lampley is averaging 16.8 points (54% FG), 7.2 rebounds and 2 assists in 29 minutes court time.
